The Técnico Alumni Mentoring Program is a one-academic-year mentoring programme that connects you with Técnico Alumni with professional experience, providing personalised guidance throughout your journey.

Throughout the programme, you can ask questions about your academic journey, get support in making professional decisions and gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities across different sectors and areas of work.

Registration takes place through the Técnico Alumni Mentoring powered by BeeWisee platform, both for mentors and mentees. After registering, you can browse the profiles of available Alumni and select up to 3 potential mentors you would like to work with. Once a mentor accepts your request, the other requests are automatically cancelled.

Although the mentoring programme runs for one academic year, it may be concluded earlier if both parties agree.

All Técnico students enrolled in degree-awarding study programmes are eligible to participate.

As a mentee, you will have the opportunity to:

• Make more informed decisions about your academic and professional journey;
• Explore careers and sectors, gaining insight into different challenges and opportunities;
• Build your confidence and develop skills that are important for your future;
• Build a relevant network, connecting with the Técnico Alumni community and the job market.

You can join the programme with a specific goal already in mind or develop one together with your mentor. From there, each mentoring pair has the autonomy to define the next steps and the best way to shape their mentoring journey.
