In addition to training in transversal skills integrated into some curricular units, there are several opportunities to acquire skills that are not so heavily worked on in the course curricula, such as:

• soft-skills (eg how to write a CV or prepare for an interview);
• hard-skills (eg learning to use specific software).

At Técnico, several cycles of workshops are promoted, such as the Skills Factory, organized by the Student Support Centre, cross-training provided by the Academic Development Centre, as well as training on topics related to the search for and use of information provided by the Library.
